The Sommerwerft: 17 days of culture, community, and exchange – freely accessible and admission-free in public spaces. The Weseler Werft on the eastern bank of the Main River will become a place for open theater culture, social interaction, and solidarity.
🌱 The Sommerwerft 2025 focuses on the topic of growth – a term that has fallen into disrepute due to the climate crisis and species extinction, yet still seems omnipresent. Nature shows us that there is another way – through cooperation, sharing, and communicative intelligence. Perhaps this is precisely where inspiration for our time lies. As division and polarization increase, it's not just about saving trees, but about learning from them – how we can #GrowTogether again.
The Sommerwerft program seeks new, solidarity-based forms of coexistence in the face of increasing loss. Scientific facts alone change little – only through art and theater can deeper shifts in perspective and true transformation emerge.
