European projects
Over the past few years, we have led a number of EU-funded projects, either as coordinators or partners. An overview of the individual projects can be found here. More information about the activities can be found on the respective project websites.

2023-2025:
SANE - Stories for a New Europe
Stories About a New Europe is born from the collaboration between four theater groups: Laboratorio Internacional Residui Teatro (Spain), Teatro tascabile di Bergamo (Italy), Protagon (Germany) and Brama (Poland).
As groups, we are dedicated to the research, creation artistic and the application of the tools of the scene arts to respond to the social, political and cultural concerns and needs of the communities in which we live or in which we pass through.
We actively listen to conflicts and problems and, through the arts, we invite people to formulate other possibilities of coexistence and alternatives for dialogue.
SANE responds to the need of the multiple communities that coexist in Europe to be able to have a voice and a space, to feel a part of this new Europe.

2023-2024:
Common Ground
We live in a time of change, whose manifest crises keep asking us the question: How do we want to live?
With "Common Ground" we want to shift the focus back to our immediate surroundings, the city, the village, the landscape that sustains us and ask: What can we do, now and here?
It is time for us to return to our connection to our living space, to see ourselves again as rooted and connected beings, and to enter into dialogue with each other about reclaiming and reshaping this common public space.
The project aims to use the means of expressive arts and theater to create these dialogue spaces.
Common Ground units four established and experienced players of the European Cultural Creative Sector (and two Junior partners with specific tasks), bringing together decades of experience with performing arts in public space and theater education with local communities and vulnerable groups

2021-2022:
Reconnect – Dance and Theater in Dialogue with the Global South
In this project, we explore Southern epistemology and how it is possible to create new forms of artistic knowledge in dialogue with the Global South in three European countries: Germany, Italy, and Cyprus. At the same time, this project promotes the experience of social integration for non-European participants and opens the concept of artistic work from a monopolized view to a constellation of methods and perspectives that incorporates cultural diversity into artistic work. Our goal is to create artistic dialogues and analyze the colonial relationships between artistic practices and knowledge.

2020-2021: RIOTE 3
RIOTE 3 (Rural Inclusive Outdoor Theatre Education) is the third edition of the European ERASMUS PLUS project for inclusive adult education through open-air theatre, physical theatre, and other educational methods in rural areas. We collaborate with 11 organizations (theaters, cultural offices, non-profit cultural associations, etc.) from 7 European countries to offer adult theatre education workshops in their local communities, generating various "intellectual outputs," such as a handbook on participatory theatre work in rural areas.

2020-2022 Women Performing Europe – The Magdalena Project Across Borders
Women Performing Europe – The Magdalena Project Across Borders is a European Erasmus+ partnership involving four organizations: protagon – Freunde und Förderer Freier Theateraktion from Germany, Teatro Nucleo from Italy, Stowarzyszenie Grupa Artystyczna Teraz Poliz from Poland, and Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium from Denmark. The project will organize four transnational meetings and training activities, as well as conduct research, discussions, and documentation with testimonies from invited artists of the Magdalena Project network, guided by an intersectional, feminist perspective.
