Open Call - Winterwerft 2027

To all theatre makers, dancers, painters, storytellers, sculptors, performance artists, musicians, photographers, activists, speakers and filmmakers.

We have opened our Open Call for the programme for the two weekends of Winterwerft 2027 (29.01.-31.01. & 05.02.-07.02.27) until 08.11.2026

The Winterwerft focuses on the major crises of our time: ecological collapse, social inequality and increasing alienation. What is more: What are the formative cultural narratives that have led us to this point? How did the ideas of unlimited growth, linear progress, independence and separation from the natural world come about – and what can take their place? The Winterwerft seeks out and presents theatre that confronts these issues and dares to change its perspective in form and content. In 2027 we are searching for Stories of Power.
